East of Shark Island is a deep ocean floor which is littered with beds of Soft Coral Gardens.

Just to the east of Shark Island you will find many different healthy examples of Coral Gardens. The soft coral gardens are brilliant and filled with black corals, dandelion coral, horn coral, purple and yellow whip corals and gorgonians. Most divers choose to dive the deeper coral gardens for ten to twenty minutes and then continue towards shallower Shark Island where you can see many nice coral formations as well. A night dive is worth it because many species of coral bloom at night.
