Martini Rock is one of the best known dive sites in the United Arab Emirates, just south of Khorfakkan (Khawr Fakkan), Martini Bay. It is a huge pinnacle rising from 22 meters deep to 3 meters deep just below the surface. This makes the top of the rock perfect for a safety stop. Most dive plans follow the same route, dropping down to the bottom, making a thirty minutes dive around the rock while diving shallower and shallower. You will be kickfinning along its sandy channels and gullies until you arrive at the top of the coral head where you can enjoy its vivid and diverse marine life.

Martini Rock is known for its many green sea turtles, which swim around the rocks and nibble on its coral. Sea horses live in the deeper parts near the rock, most easily found during summer. You will also spot fusiliers, hawkfish, cornet fish, sergeant majors, damsel, anthias and triggerfish. Moray eels, scorpion fish and lionfish are very numerous here. Coral coverage is excellent with healthy parts of purple and green whip coral, soft pink tree corals, orange teddybear corals and even small amounts of black coral. Leopard sharks, spotted eagle rays, guitar sharks and more common reef sharks have been seen at this phenomenal dive site occasionally. Pay attention to currents and several cold thermo-clines that might be felt diving on the northern deeper side of the pinnacle.
